The Big Easy, Big Snow, Big Words and a Big Break!

As always, the past two months have been busy ones for me. Here's a picture of me and Titi Jessica- this is back in January when she stopped by and read me a bedtime story.

Daddy, Papi and I traveled to New Orleans in January too. We hadn't been there since I was born so it was exciting to be back. I snuggled right in on the plane with Jorge my monkey, who I've been calling Keykey.
During our layover I had fun riding on Daddy's and Papi's shoulders - they were pretty good at keeping me occupied in the airport.We had a bit of a paparazzi in the airport too - these three girls just wanted to take several pictures of me! I'm trying to get used to this popularity thing I've got going on!

While I've been having some fun in the winter weather in New York, it was nice to be in some warmer weather so I could get out on the playground. When the weather was warmer last Fall, I wasn't walking yet so it's a new adventure now! Luckily, I've gotten to the playground a few more times recently as well.

Our big reason for visiting was to see my birthmom, Cierra. It was a super-special day and her sister and daughter came as well. We met up at the aquarium and had such a lovely time together.

Aysia and I had fun running around the aquarium - here we are looking like a seal and a starfish! I feel really lucky that I was able to see them all and spend the day together!

 We stayed with Mama Vonne and Papa Juan while we were in New Orleans. It was great to see them as always! I had a great time with them and got to play again with Itsy who I hadn't seen since October. Papi tried to pose with us in front of Mama Vonne's Christmas tree, but neither of us were into posing! Here's me and Papi when he and Daddy and Itsy and I went out for pizza! Yum!

Soon after the trip, Sofia and I had a sleepover at my house! It was great fun as always! As we got ready for bed, her Didi and my Keykey were close at hand!

Sometimes Papi and Daddy think I've gotten a bit too attached to Keykey. One day, I just had to take him to the playground with me. For the most part, he doesn't leave the house with me but I just really wanted to show him the playground. He did seem to enjoy it!

I continue to be pretty much obsessed with technology. Daddy found his old Blackberry so I played with that for a few days straight. I like saying hello "Ha-da!" on the phone and also pretending that I'm texting. I've also started pacing around the room when I talk on the phone - just like Papi and Daddy!

Here's Sofia and I again ..... oh and look, Didi and Keykey too!

Bathtime continues to be a lot of fun.  As you can see in this picture, I was still using my bath seat a few weeks ago.  I'm not using it anymore and I'm getting better at not standing up constantly in the tub.  I've also learned how to brush my teeth - which is a special treat!  Papi and I brush our teeth together and I love it.  I prefer to walk around the house while I brush, but Papi prefers to stay in the bathroom.

I have started saying many more words. In the middle of February I decided I'd try to say almost anything! Some of the first were 'apple', 'snack', and yes 'Ipod'. I finally got 'Papi' down too! I've since added 'yellow', 'purple', 'truck', 'cracker', 'circle', 'donkey', 'pig' and I sometimes attempt 'Yo Gabba Gabba'! I also love calling 'Tooooddd' just like Papi.

 

The big news around here in February was snow, snow, snow! We had two snow storms and it was my first real opportunity to see what this white stuff is all about! Papi got me all dressed up and took me around the neighborhood in my sled. I wasn't too sure what to make of it at first and it was hard to get the hang of hanging on to the sled, but eventually I was like an old pro! We played on the deck too and Papi taught me how to make snow angels. He had to help me out a bit, but you can see our two angels side by side!

Sofia joined me in the sled one day too -- although crowded, we made it work!

Papi and I have so much fun on the days when we're home together! We look super-cool in this shot. This look earned me the name 'Coley Kravitz'! I take it as a compliment! This picture was taken right before Daddy and Papi went to Miami for some rest and relaxation! Nana and Papa came down to play with me while Daddy and Papi were away and we had a great time together! Nana learned that I love climbing the stairs into the apartment when I get home and I've gotten really good at it too. Nana even taught me to say "Up the Steps!" Thanks Nana and Papa for a really special time!

The 'big break' that I referred to in the title of this post is unfortunately Titi Jessica's leg!! I know she's going to get better really soon! I went to visit her last week and was helping her get around the house as best I could! I made her laugh and smile a lot, which was great! Daddy, Papi and I were at her and Tio Danny's house to watch the Oscar's and I was all set to go to bed there as well. However, Daddy and Papi forgot to bring Keykey! Can you believe that? Of course, I refused to go to bed without him and I'm pretty sure they'll never forget him again.

Well Happy Spring everyone! It's nearly here and the temperatures are really rising in Brooklyn! I can't wait!! Thanks to Sofia, Cri and Pete I have super-cool new threads to model on the jungle gym - my own leather jacket!
